The theme I used is TRON Legacy. This is based on the 2011 TRON Legacy pinball machine manufactured by Stern Pinball which is a game themed after Disney’s 2010 blockbuster movie of the same name. As childhood fan of the original Tron movie it was an easy decision for me. Stern Pinball produced at least two versions of this pinball machine: TRON: LEGACY (Pro) and TRON: LEGACY (LE or limited edition) .
Nearly 1600 of these machines were produced (1182 Pro and 400 Limited Editions). It is still very popular for its game play and highly sought after collector’s machine, selling for nearly $18,000 in the used pinball market.
The vinyl decal set came from Arcade Decals in England and was about $80USD which included shipping, etc. The design is not the same as the Stern pinball machine but it was for a Williams widebody style cabinet.

The vinyl was applied using the Way of the Wrench technique. Overall the decals fit well on the cabinet. There was one problem area and that was at the top of the main cabinet sides under the backbox. The black print didn’t go up high enough. This was fixed with some vinyl patching which was well hidden under the sides of the backbox.

The edges of the backbox were routed with a slot so T-molding could be added. For the T-molding I use a 20ft roll of 3/4” Black-Chrome-Black molding purchased from t-molding.com . I purchased 20 feet which was plenty and left me with about five feet extra.
